BubuBibi Cloth Diaper Covers - More Information

I am not sure if some parents use Bububibi Cloth Diaper Covers or any other brand's cloth diaper covers the way we do.

#1 - Use it with the BubuBibi Inserts especially for our covers

Use them with our BubuBibi Inserts that is especially made for our covers.  It comes with snaps that is snapped on to the covers so that the covers

#2 - Use it with our BubuBibi Prefold Bamboo Inserts

Use them with our prefold bamboo inserts.  It is soft & comfortable for your little bottom.

#3 - Use it over disposable Diapers as a layer of protection

Check it out, you can use it over disposable diapers when you go out as an additional layer of protection.  Sometimes, disposable diapers leak too, so, use these to help to prevent leaks.  Here is a cute picture of how we use it over disposables and jeans over them.  Aren't this little bottom cute?

#4 - This is my favorite, wear them as a bottom - We have even did an embroidery on our baby boy's.  It has his name on it!
We have very little shorts or bottoms for our boys because most of the time, they wear diaper covers or diapers out.  I think they are so cute.  Especially if we put them over with matching leg warmers.  Check them out, Laynson's name is on his diaper.

Don't move Laynson.... :)

Come on over to our website to purchase these cute little covers.  Coming soon, Limited Edition 2015 prints.... Check the rest out here.

BubuBibi Adjustable Trainers - Now available with add on snaps for older child!

I guess most of us manage to potty train our kids from age 18M to around 4?  Though, some of us that are not as lucky, they are not potty train closer to 5.  Also, there are some special need kids that is a lot older and still require diapers or have accidents occasionally.

Laynson is born with CCHS and together with CCHS, he had Hirschsprungs. HD is a condition that affects the large intestine (colon) and causes problems with passing stool. Hirschsprung's disease is present when a baby is born (congenital) and results from missing nerve cells in the muscles of part or all of the baby's colon.  We had a surgery done when he was 3 weeks old but we were told that it will be harder to potty train #2 till he is a lot older and even if we did, sometimes, he just can't control it and may have accidents unintentionally.

After being told about that and being around a lot of special need parents, I thought that it would be a good idea to extend the adjustable trainers that I've already got.  So, with several prototype, we were able to come up with the extra snaps on the side so that the adjustable trainers can now fit a lot bigger kids.  It does have gathers to make it more stretchable.  Check them out.  They are available @ our website, set of 3 (6 Pcs total) for $9.99.

Reviews on "Our Curse" - Full movie here!

Ok, I guess I should have waited for 1 more day, then, I will get to watch "Our Curse" in the comfort of my PJs in my room.  But I guess it doesn't matter... at least I got to watch all 5 of the nominees for the 2015 Oscar - Short Documentary category.  If it were to be me, I would either pick Our Curse, not just because that's what Laynson has, more so it was very real, very touching and I can totally relate since I've been through this and also Veteran's - Press 1.  It is sad to see so many veterans suffering from PTSD thinking of giving up their life, leaving their family.

Anyway, the movie was really good.  I am sure those mom, not only with child with CCHS but any mom that has to spend a long time in the NICU and then having to trach their child.  The part that hurt most was during trach change.  I saw Leo crying and there wasn't any sound that came out.  I still remember, refusing to trach Laynson even though I know that it's the best option for him.  I asked, will I hear him, will he talk?  They all told me yes, you will hear him and he can talk.  That was just partially true.  After the surgery, Laynson was put in coma for 5 days to prevent him from moving much.  5 long and painful days waiting for your baby to wake up and when he woke up, he started crying and it was silent.... wait a minute.... they all told me that I will hear him, I quickly called the nurse, I told her, something didn't go right, something must have happened during the surgery, there is no sound.  They then said, ohh it's normal, you won't hear him unless he wears a cap or passy muir.  WHAT???? Nobody mention that he has to wear something to make sound.... I said to her, please put it on now, I need to hear my baby cry.... she said no mom, we can't do that, he's on the vent 24/7.  Heads down... back to my sit and sob and sob again :(.

There were a lot of challenges in the past, like the part where the O2 dropped so quickly and he didn't show the baby but you can see from the machines that it dropped from 94 to 90 to 88 to 81 to 77 .... all well within seconds.  We deal with that daily in the past and it has been less frequent but tell me, when you were pregnant, you read books like "What to expect, when you're expecting", and then, you have the "What to expect, First Year".... it doesn't tell you what to do when your baby turns blue and literally dead in your arms.  I still remember the first time seeing him being that way, I had nightmare... every night I close my eyes, I would imagine looking at a dead baby.  It is traumatizing.  We were not taught to have to deal with this.... these are things that I just have to pick and go during my busy days.  Then like in the movie, she had to call the equipment company, it is a constant battle.  Then medicaid decides to cut your supplies, cut your nursing hours, and then now, I have to learn to be an attorney, defending my child's rights to things we need to keep him alive.  I wear so many hats till I lost count.  I learn to be a nurse, a pulmonologist deciding on how many breathe he should take on his vent (of course within the limit the doctor gives me), deciding if we should give him treatments, decide to go to the ER right away, then become a scheduler to schedules our frequent doctor's visits, and then, on the other hand, I have 2 other kid that needs me the same, so I have to still be a mom, a sister, a daughter, a wife and then, at work, I have to be a Consultant and lastly for business, I have to be a purchaser to deal with the factory, a shipper to arrange shipment, a customer service person to deal with issues, an accountant to deal with the taxes, social media specialist.... the list goes on.  Trust me, I am not complaining, I am glad that these task were given to me so that I don't have time to sit down and be depressed about what's all that is happening in my life.

I feel bad when I didn't read to my boys, when I haven't ship the item to my customer, when I didn't respond my emails in a few days but trust me, I really tried my best.  I really wish that God would have given me an additional 10 hours in a day together with CCHS.  Wishful thinking :)  Again, I apologize to the customers that have yelled at me, telling me that I am not fit to be in business.... I tried my best.  That's why I told myself that 2015, I would like to turn this around, I want to relocate my time and put my best in BubuBibi.... after all, it's another child of mine.

My friends tell me, you are a strong women, I don't think I can handle it if it were to be me.  I respond to them.... oh no... when it's you, you will know how to handle it.  The survivor mode will turn on and you will be able to handle it as well or if not better.  It's ok, you are not given a choice, STRONG is the only option for you.

Overall, it was truly walking back to memory lane when I watched this.  I have watched it over and over again and I am glad to see what it was in the past and what I've gone through and somethings, I am still going through but the most important thing is, I still have HIM!  I wouldn't trade anything for my little fighter... my hero and also his brothers, who has always been there for him, teaching him to be tough, be the fighter he is.

This is a short 27 mins movie, please take time to watch, hopefully someday, someone would come up with a cure and no kids and parents would have to go through this.

NEW!!!! Adult Tutus - Mardi Gras!!!! Come on, let's PARTY!

Ladies & Gentlemen..... Having a Mardi Gras party..... come check out our latest Multicolored Tutu .  It consist of 3 layers...  Be noticed at the party.  Wear them over a leggings, or anything.  Best of all, they are only $14.99 at our website.

Our curse..... Ondine's curse.... it's my curse too....

Some of my customers know that I am a special needs mom but I think a lot of parents out there don't know what my son has.  Basically, my son has CCHS.... Congenital Central Hypo Ventilation Syndrome.  Basically, Laynson will eventually stop breathing when he falls asleep.  It's also call the Ondine's Curse.

I have also heard that they mentioned that some of the SIDS babies that has tested for this genes shows positive but because they are mild, the doctor's didn't catch it and they went home and eventually build up a lot of CO2 causing them to pass away.  A lot of them were said to have SIDS.

Luckily for us, I guess I still consider myself lucky because the doctor caught it 30 mins after birth. We were also very lucky that we live in Dallas, TX and not in smaller cities as some of our friends were told to let go of their baby and was given a year to live at most.

Anyway, there is a conference once in 2 years for CCHS and too bad, we were not there at 2014 CCHS conference, so, we didn't get to watch "Our Curse".  Not that I am not watching my own daily but yes, heard many raving reviews about this short documentary.  And YES, it was nominated for the 2015 Oscar Short Documentary, I hope they will win, it will increase the visibility of CCHS and please, please find a cure someday.

God is great!  Can you believe that he knows that I am in this little small town in Greensboro, NC and he decided to entertain my travel for work by having Geeksboro Coffeehouse Cinema to show it?

I can't wait to watch it and will be bringing lots of tissue paper!!! Yay!!! Finally get to watch it!  I can't believe it has been almost 3 years where this nightmare begin.  These 3 years has been a rollercoaster ride for us, we have almost lost him.  It is scary but like my little fighter, I will fight for everything for him.

Hair loss after having the baby? I have that issue too but I think it's better now.

I am sure a lot of moms have that issue too.  HAIR LOSS!!!  I still remember, when I was younger, I use to dislike my hair, I use to think it's to "bushy" and every time, I've got to tell the hair dresser to somehow reduce some hair.  After having babies, I am so thankful that when I was younger, I had the bushy hair because I've lost so much hair and if I started off with very little hair, I would be bald.

I notice that I usually lose a lot more hair a few months after having my boys.  Though, I do notice that the hair dropping issue is less too.  I guess part of the reason is because I guess the hormones are all normal now but I have talked to several people and hair dresses for their advises.

Here are some tips, hopefully it will help some moms out there who are going crazy with the newborn, sleep patterns, etc.

1) Use baby shampoo - I have switched from all other brands to my son's baby shampoo.  I read a lot and some people also mention that the baby shampoo have less chemicals in them, no scent, etc and since it is so mild, it is gentle on the hair.  Try using them for a long period of time instead of the normal adult's shampoo.  OR, the other option is to use the horse shampoo - Mane N Tail is one of them that I have tried as well and I think they are pretty good.

2)  Conditioner - Only apply the conditioner starting the half length of the hair.  Do not start from the top/ roots.  According to one of the hair dresser that I talked to, she told me that a lot of times, the conditioner clogs the roots of the hair causing the hair to not grow.

3)  Drying your hair - I always blow dry my hair and thought that the hotter the heat is, the faster and better it is and again, this is another thing that I was told not to do.  According to them, the heat would cause the old to develop and then clog the roots of the hair again.  So, what I do now is I use low heat or just air to blow the top of my hair and switch it to hot again to blow the rest of the hair.

4)  Gentle combing - Try not to brush your hair too hard, it will break the hair and try to brush it to the minimal.

I hope the advise would help some of the new moms out there who are freaking out wondering what's going on and will their hair ever grow back?

Good Luck!

Pros and Con of using Mama Cloths

.Lately, we notice that there are increasing demand in our Mama Cloth.  So, we did some research to help share benefits or pros and con of using Mama Cloth and especially our BubuBibi Bamboo Mama Cloths.  Most of them last about 2 hours for the regular pads but it is pretty much the same for the disposables as well.

Here are the Pros and the Cons.

1) Less Period -  According to a lot of people (No supporting facts, sorry), a lot of people claim that they have less period using the Mama Cloths as compared to the tampon or the disposable sanitary pads.  According to most of them, it says that it is because the body is receiving less chemicals.  Again, there are no supporting facts, just reviews from our customers.

2) Cost saving - We go through many pads each cycle but with the reusable mama cloth, we can now rewash them over and over again and in the long run, it does save some $$$.

3)  Go Green - Environmentally friendly.  We throw billions of sanitary napkins into the landfil.  Instead, we can go green and be a little more environmentally friendly.

4) Comfortable - These mama cloth are made with soft bamboo rayon, they are the same material used for our cloth diapers used on our babies.  Unlike the plastic pads, they are not sticky and crinkly or the tampons that hurts for some people.

5) Less smell, sweat - The cloth absorb even the sweat from us but it is harder for plastic to do that.  Due to that, it reduces the smell as well.  Not all people experience this but some do.

6) Cute Prints - Just like the underwear, there are some really cute prints that comes with it.

1) Laundry - Most people prefers to wash the mama cloth separately and it takes many to wash a load or we'll have to wash smaller loads.

2) More initial investment - Each pad can cost anywhere between $3-8 each depending on the brand and we need quite a bit to start, therefore, the initial investment would cost more.

3) More work - Unlike the disposables, you just toss it out but you need to wash the mama cloth.

With that being said, I guess it really depends on the preference and what works.  Some people actually does both, just like cloth diaper.  When they are home or at work, they just use the mama cloth and when they are out, they use disposables.  So, hopefully the about would give you more ideas about what works for you.

If you are worry about the bulkiness, please do not worry, here are the pictures to show you the comparison between disposables and the BubuBibi Mama Cloths.

If you would just like to try them out, we just came out with a Travel/ Trial pack.  In that pack, we have included 2 Regular and 2 Maxi and it comes with a cute carrying case as well.  Check them out at:

Calling all mama cloth lovers.  We just added the Maxi/ Night pads to our mama cloth line.  You must be wondering, what is the difference between the normal mama cloth that we have?

We read our reviews regarding our regular pads and we have decided to keep our shape and size the same.  Therefore, the maxi will look like the regular except that it is thicker and has better absorbent.

It also comes in more vibrant colors, currently, it comes in Brown, Orange, Light Yellow, Dark Pink and Blue.  Try them out at:

NEW!!!! We have several new products coming up this year! Stay tune.

I have not post in a very long time.  Honestly, it is difficult having to take care of 3 boys and one of the 3 is a special need.  I know that there were some customers who tried to contact me through Facebook but didn't quite get a respond.  I have to apologize, I am not sure if anyone of you have lost a child before.  I lost Bruno, my English bulldog which I always refer to as my first son when I was pregnant with my second son.  Till today, I find it difficult to look at people walking their dogs.  It just tears my heart.  When Laynson was born, I lost a child. People may say that it's not right, he's still here, you didn't lose your child?  The truth is, I lost a healthy child. I hang out with a group of special need mom, every month, I see at least 1-2 kids pass on and it really affects me.  I've been to their funerals.... the scariest day of my life was going to a little boy's funeral that has what Laynson has and 3 hours later, Laynson quit breathing and no heartbeat for 10-12 mins.  We were able to revive him but things like that just hit me really hard.  It's just affects me and I try not to go to Facebook.

Though, having Laynson has made me a better person and a different person.  I learn to be more patient, take things easy, besides that, I learn so much.  I learn to be a nurse, a scheduler... I can tell what medication to use and I can tell all the different antibiotics.  I realize that God gave me Laynson for a reason and I cannot Thank him enough for giving this special little guy to me.  I wouldn't trade anything for Laynson.  I think I have been gone for a while and this year, I have decided to come back to focus more on BubuBibi. I have hired a lady who is EXTREMELY good at what she does to help me.  I am truly blessed to have her help me.

Anyway, stay tune for more new products and designs coming along our way!  Happy 2015!
